Bespoke software, built around your business.

I'm Steve, and Rinjax Development is my studio. I design and build web applications, internal tools and integrations for businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf software, from the first conversation to running it in production.

What I build

Software that fits the way you work

Not a template bent into shape. Each project starts from your process, your people and the systems you already have.

  • Web applications

Customer portals, booking and ordering systems, whole platforms. Fast, secure, and built to be maintained, not just launched.

  • Internal tools & dashboards

Replace the spreadsheet everyone is afraid to touch. Admin panels, workflows and reporting that fit the way your team actually works.

  • APIs & integrations

Get your systems talking to each other: billing, accounting, CRM and telecoms suppliers, plus clean, documented APIs of your own.

  • Connected & real-time systems

Software for hardware. Devices, sensors and on-site equipment reporting to a central platform in real time, over MQTT and event-driven services.

  • Modernising legacy systems

Move an ageing in-house or PHP system onto a modern, tested footing, step by step, without stopping the business while it happens.

  • Hosting, deployment & support

Automated testing and releases, secure servers and monitoring. I can run what I build for you, or hand it over to your own team.

Track record

Trusted where it has to work

Systems for telecoms providers and UK police forces, where downtime and mistakes cost real money, or worse.

  • Telecoms

Custom CRMs and BT network integrations

Bespoke CRMs for several UK telecoms providers, integrated with the BT network and with billing and accounting systems, so orders, lines and customer records live in one place instead of five.

    • Custom CRM
    • BT network integration
    • Billing & accounting
    • Third-party APIs
  • Policing

Key access control cabinets for UK police forces

Software for secure key cabinets used by police forces across the UK: the code on the cabinets themselves, real-time messaging back to a central platform, and the web system that controls who can take which key, and when.

    • Embedded software
    • Real-time MQTT
    • Hardware integration
    • Central web platform

How I work

Straightforward, from first call to launch

You deal with the person writing the code, the whole way through. Clear costs up front, and regular working software rather than long silences.

  1. Discover

A free call about the problem, not the technology: what it costs you today, who it affects, and what success looks like.

  2. Propose

A clear written proposal with the scope, a timeline, and either a fixed price or a day rate. No surprises later.

  3. Build

Working software early and often. You see real progress every week and can steer as we go.

  4. Launch & support

Deployed, documented and monitored. Ongoing support and improvements whenever you need them.

About

Hi, I'm Steve Temple

I've been building and running software for over twenty years. I started out rebuilding hardware and installing telephone systems on customers' sites, then ran servers and networks as a consultant and systems administrator, and now build Go microservices and hardware-connected platforms as a senior engineer.

That mix means I'm as comfortable talking through a process with your operations team as I am in a codebase or a server room. I use modern, AI-assisted tooling to move quickly, and I write code the next person can pick up.

  • 20+ years in software and IT
  • 1 person to deal with, from first call to support

Tools I work with

  • Go
  • PHP & Laravel
  • TypeScript
  • Svelte
  • Vue
  • MySQL
  • PostgreSQL
  • MongoDB
  • SQLite
  • MQTT
  • REST & OpenAPI
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Docker
  • GitHub Actions
  • Linux & networking
